The title came from a funeral sermon given by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844 when he startled his listeners by declaring"You're not my friend, and you've never known my heart. It's a daunting task to manage these papers in order to discern firsthand narratives from third-hand copies and then put Mormon as well as non Mormon stories into the form of a cohesive mosaic. It's exciting and instructive. FawnBrodie embraced the task of professional success. Her research as well as her writing earned her global fame. Thaddeus Stevens. Scourge of south (1959) The Devil Drives. Thomas Jefferson. The intimate Histories (1974) And Richard Nixon.
