Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had numerous talents, including being able perform, direct and produce plays, as well as write them, teach, and be Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the child of both a British father as well as an English-Turkish Cypriot mother. Her appearances in commercials were numerous in her early years. Anna was able to move to Toronto in order to help her acting improve. The actress later was able to move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at an Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in 2009. They were married at a civil wedding ceremony in was held in December, and then renew their vows during a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton in April of 2011 in the wake of Anna's conversion into Judaism. Bo's sex-based romance with Lauren was highlighted in CNN's top TV Couples ever and named Top TV Couple 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's social media following grew after the success of her show.
